Resume builder

Updated September 2, 2026

The resume builder produces two kinds of output from the same content: a version designed to be read by a person, and a version designed to survive an ATS parser.

ATS-safe vs. designed templates

ATS-safe templates are single-column with standard section headings, because that's what a parser reads reliably left to right. Designed templates can use columns, icons and custom section names for a human reader, but those same choices are exactly what breaks automated parsing — export both and use whichever the destination calls for.

AI enhance

Enhance rewrites a section's bullet points for clarity and impact without inventing facts — it works from what's already there. It runs per section, so you can accept a rewrite for your experience but leave your summary untouched, and every change can be undone individually.

Parse preview

My CV → Parse preview shows exactly what an ATS parser extracts, field by field, with anything it couldn't read listed separately. Fixing whatever shows up in that second list and re-checking is the fastest way to resolve a rejected application.

CVs imported from LinkedIn or an existing PDF often carry a two-column layout underneath. Always re-run parse preview after an import, even if the resume looks fine to you.
